Spotify Premium on iPhone — Sideload Spotify++ in 2026
What is Spotify++?
Spotify++ is the iOS counterpart to the Spotify Premium APK on Android. It's a patched IPA file — the iOS equivalent of an APK — that unlocks every Premium feature when sideloaded onto your iPhone or iPad. The feature set is identical to the Android build: no ads, unlimited skips, 320 kbps audio, offline downloads, AI DJ, spatial audio, and the lossless beta tier.
Unlike Android, iOS doesn't allow free installation of apps outside the App Store. To run Spotify++ on an iPhone you need to sideload it using one of three methods: AltStore (most user-friendly), Sideloadly (one-off install), or a developer certificate (longest duration, requires more setup).
What you need
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 14.0 or later (iOS 17 recommended for the latest patches).
- A Mac or Windows PC with iTunes installed (Windows) or Finder (macOS Catalina and later).
- A free Apple ID. A paid developer account is not required — a free Apple ID works, but apps signed with a free certificate expire after 7 days.
- A USB cable to connect your iPhone to the computer.
- The Spotify++ IPA file (we link the verified version on our downloads page).
- Either AltStore, Sideloadly, or a developer certificate installed on the computer.
Method 1: AltStore (recommended)
AltStore is the cleanest way to sideload Spotify++ on iOS. It uses your own Apple ID to sign the IPA with a developer certificate, then refreshes the signature automatically over Wi-Fi every 7 days. No computer required after the initial install.
1. Install AltServer on your computer
- Download AltStore from
altstore.io. - On Windows: run the installer. AltServer appears as a system-tray icon.
- On macOS: drag AltServer.app to Applications and launch it. It lives in the menu bar.
2. Install AltStore on your iPhone
- Connect your iPhone to the computer with a USB cable.
- Open iTunes (Windows) or Finder (macOS) and ensure the iPhone is trusted.
- In AltServer, click the tray/menu-bar icon → Install AltStore → Your iPhone.
- Enter your Apple ID email and password. AltStore uses this to register a free developer certificate.
- AltStore appears on your iPhone's home screen.
3. Trust the developer certificate
- On your iPhone, go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management.
- Tap your Apple ID under Developer App.
- Tap Trust "Your Apple ID", then Trust in the popup.
4. Sideload Spotify++
- Download the Spotify++ IPA file from SpotifyApk.club using your iPhone's Safari browser.
- Open AltStore on your iPhone.
- Tap My Apps → + (plus icon in the top-left).
- Select the Spotify++ IPA file.
- Enter your Apple ID when prompted. AltStore signs the IPA with your developer certificate.
- Spotify++ appears on your home screen. Open it, sign in with your Spotify account, and every Premium feature is unlocked.
AltStore will automatically re-sign the app every 7 days as long as your iPhone and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network. If you travel or change networks, you can manually refresh by opening AltStore and tapping Refresh All.
Method 2: Sideloadly
Sideloadly is a one-shot sideload tool. You run it on your computer, point it at the IPA, and it installs the app on your connected iPhone. Useful if you don't want to keep AltStore running.
- Download Sideloadly from
sideloadly.io. - Connect your iPhone to your computer and trust the device.
- Open Sideloadly, drag the Spotify++ IPA into the window.
- Enter your Apple ID and click Start.
- After install, go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management and trust the developer certificate.
- Open Spotify++ from your home screen.
The downside: the app expires after 7 days. To re-sign, just run Sideloadly again with the same IPA. You can also use Sideloadly's "Keep Installed" feature to enable automatic re-signing while the computer is awake.
Method 3: Developer certificate
If you have a paid Apple Developer account ($99/year), you can sign Spotify++ with a certificate that lasts a full year. The setup is more involved:
- Generate a CSR (Certificate Signing Request) from Keychain Access on macOS.
- Upload the CSR to
developer.apple.com→ Certificates → Development → iOS App Development. - Download the certificate and install it in Keychain.
- Create a provisioning profile that includes your iPhone's UDID.
- Use Xcode or a tool like iOS App Signer to sign the Spotify++ IPA with your certificate and profile.
- Install the signed IPA via Xcode, Finder, or AltStore.
This is overkill for most users — AltStore is simpler and the 7-day refresh is automatic. But if you're already a registered Apple developer, it's the cleanest path.
Unlocked features on iOS
The Spotify++ IPA delivers the same set of unlocked features as the Android APK:
- Zero audio, video, and display ads.
- Unlimited skips across every playlist and radio.
- 320 kbps "Very High" audio quality on every network.
- Lossless FLAC tier on supported hardware (Lightning DAC dongles, USB-C DACs).
- Offline downloads for albums, playlists, podcasts and audiobooks (up to 10,000 tracks per device).
- AI DJ with personalized voice intros.
- Spatial audio with Dolby Atmos on supported headphones (AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, Sony WH-1000XM5).
- Group Session and Jam for up to 6 simultaneous listeners.
- Full CarPlay integration — works with Apple CarPlay in any car that supports it.
Troubleshooting
Common issues and fixes:
- "Untrusted Developer" error on launch. Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management and trust your Apple ID's developer certificate.
- "App cannot be installed because its integrity could not be verified." The IPA is corrupt or partially downloaded. Re-download from the verified SpotifyApk.club link and check the SHA-256 hash.
- App crashes immediately after launch. Clear the app's data by uninstalling, restarting the iPhone, and re-sideloading.
- Spotify++ disappeared after 7 days. AltStore expired the signature. Open AltStore on the iPhone and tap Refresh All while connected to the same Wi-Fi as your computer. If using Sideloadly, re-run the install.
- AltStore can't reach AltServer. Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi subnet, that your firewall allows AltServer's port (60106 + random ephemeral ports), and that your router isn't blocking mDNS between devices. Restart AltServer on the computer.
CarPlay integration
One of the most underappreciated benefits of Spotify++ on iOS is full CarPlay support. When you connect your iPhone to a CarPlay-enabled vehicle, the modded app appears as a first-class audio source alongside Apple Music. You get:
- Full Now Playing UI on the car's dashboard display.
- Voice control via Siri ("Hey Siri, play Discover Weekly on Spotify").
- Steering-wheel button support for skip, pause, and volume.
- Sirius XM-style preset slots for one-tap access to your favorite playlists.
- Offline downloads are fully available — your music plays in the car even in dead zones.
The modded APK doesn't add CarPlay support that the official app lacks; it just removes the limits the official Free tier imposes. If you drive often, this is one of the most tangible day-to-day benefits.
Apple Watch integration
Spotify++ works on Apple Watch when paired with the iPhone. After install, open the Watch app on your iPhone, scroll to Spotify, and toggle "Show App on Apple Watch". From the watch you can:
- Stream directly over Wi-Fi or LTE on cellular Apple Watch models.
- Download playlists to the watch for offline runs and workouts.
- Control playback from the Now Playing complication.
- Use Siri for hands-free control during a run.
