Install Spotify Premium APK on Any Android Phone — Universal 2026 Guide

By SpotifyApk.club Editorial 5 min read Android 5.0 and up

Quick install (stock Android 14+)

If you're on a Pixel, Motorola, Sony, Nokia, Asus Zenfone, or any other near-stock Android phone, the install is straightforward:

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps.
  2. Find your browser (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Samsung Internet) and toggle Allow from this source on.
  3. Tap the green Download button on SpotifyApk.club and save the 90 MB file.
  4. Open the file from your Downloads folder or tap the completed-download notification.
  5. Tap Install. Approve the prompt.
  6. Open Spotify and sign in. Premium is unlocked.

Total time: about 3 minutes on a modern phone, 5–6 minutes on a budget device.

Samsung OneUI (Galaxy S, A, Z, M, Tab series)

Samsung hides the unknown-sources toggle a little deeper than stock Android. From Android 13 / OneUI 5.0 onward:

  1. Open Settings → Apps → ⋮ (three dots top-right) → Special access → Install unknown apps.
  2. Find your browser and toggle it on.
  3. Download the APK from SpotifyApk.club.
  4. Open My Files → Downloads (or pull down the notification shade and tap the download).
  5. Tap Install. OneUI may show an extra "scanning" dialog — wait for it to complete (usually under 10 seconds).
  6. If OneUI prompts you to "Send to Knox", decline. Knox is Samsung's enterprise sandbox; the modded APK runs fine outside it.

On older OneUI 4.x devices, the path is Settings → Apps → ⋮ → Special access → Install unknown apps — same as above.

Xiaomi MIUI / HyperOS

Xiaomi adds a second toggle you'll need to flip:

  1. Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Permissions → Other permissions → Install via USB — enable if you ever plan to install via ADB (optional).
  2. Settings → Apps → Special app permissions → Install unknown apps — enable for your browser.
  3. Download the APK.
  4. Open the Security app (the green shield) → Settings → Other permissions → Install apps via Security — make sure it's enabled.
  5. Open the APK from Downloads and tap Install. MIUI may scan the file with its own engine; this is normal.

If MIUI refuses the install with a "Signature verification failed" error, the most likely cause is the official Spotify app is still installed. Uninstall it first (see troubleshooting guide).

Oppo ColorOS & Realme UI

ColorOS hides the toggle under a different menu path on every major version. From ColorOS 13 onward:

  1. Settings → Apps → Special app permissions → Install unknown apps — enable for your browser.
  2. Settings → Apps → Files → App management → Allow from this source — enable for the Files app.
  3. Download the APK.
  4. Open the file from Files → Downloads.
  5. Tap Install. ColorOS may prompt for a security scan — allow it.

Huawei HarmonyOS / EMUI

Huawei phones without Google Play Services need an extra step because the file-download flow is different:

  1. Settings → Security → More settings → Install apps from external sources — enable for your browser.
  2. Download the APK using your phone's browser (the built-in Huawei Browser works fine).
  3. Open the file from Files → Downloads.
  4. Tap Install. Huawei's virus scanner will run automatically.
  5. If Huawei shows "Install blocked because the package is from an unknown source", tap Settings → Security and allow the install.

The Spotify Premium APK works fully on Huawei devices without Google Play Services — the app's own login flow handles authentication.

Motorola & near-stock Android

Motorola, Nokia, Sony Xperia, Asus Zenfone and Android One devices all follow the stock Android path. On Android 12 and older, the unknown-sources toggle lives in Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps. On Android 11 and older, it's a single toggle at Settings → Security → Install unknown apps — enable for your browser and proceed.

Android Smart TV install

Spotify Premium APK installs on most Android-based Smart TVs — Sony Bravia, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Sharp, Xiaomi Mi TV. The process:

  1. Enable Install unknown apps for the TV's browser (Settings → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources).
  2. Open the TV's browser and navigate to SpotifyApk.club.
  3. Download the APK. Most TVs save to Internal storage → Download.
  4. Open a file manager app (e.g., File Commander or the built-in Files app on Android TV 11+).
  5. Navigate to the downloaded file and tap Install.
  6. Open Spotify from the TV's app drawer and sign in with your phone's Spotify Connect.

For TVs that block browser downloads entirely, sideload the APK via USB using ADB from your computer: adb install spotify-premium.apk while the TV is in developer mode.

Tablet & Chromebook install

On Android tablets, the install is identical to a phone. On Chromebooks with Android app support, the file path is:

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Google Play Store → Manage Android preferences → About — tap the build number 7 times to enable Developer Mode.
  2. Return to Apps → Google Play Store → Manage Android preferences → Developer options → USB debugging — enable.
  3. Download the APK in the Chrome browser.
  4. Open Settings → Apps → Manage your apps → Install unknown apps — enable for Chrome.
  5. Open the file from Files → Downloads.
  6. Tap Install. Spotify will appear in your Chromebook's app drawer.

First-launch checklist (all platforms)

No matter which Android skin or device class you installed on, run through this checklist within the first minute after opening the app:

  1. Sign in with a secondary email. If you've never used Spotify, you can sign up directly inside the app. If you already have an account you care about (years of saved tracks, family plan, student discount), create a fresh Gmail alias or ProtonMail address and use that for the modded install.
  2. Verify Premium is active. Open Settings → Account. The plan line should show "Premium" or, on the modded APK, an equivalent entitlement. If it shows "Free", log out and log back in.
  3. Set audio quality. Go to Settings → Audio quality and pick "Very High" (320 kbps). On supported hardware, enable Lossless.
  4. Disable auto-update from Google Play. Open the Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Manage apps & device → Manage → find Spotify → tap the ⋮ menu → uncheck "Enable auto update". This stops Play from overwriting your modded build with the official Free one.
  5. Disable "Install Unknown Apps" again. Once Spotify is installed, go back to Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps and toggle off the permission for your browser. You'll re-enable it the next time you manually install an APK.

Reverting to the official Spotify app

If you ever want to go back to the stock Spotify client — for example, to receive official updates automatically or to use a Spotify Car Thing — the revert is fast:

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Spotify Premium on your Android device.
  2. Tap Uninstall → OK. Confirm.
  3. Open the Google Play Store and search for "Spotify: Music and Podcasts". Tap Install.
  4. Sign in with the same email you used on the modded APK. Your library, playlists and followed artists sync from Spotify's servers — nothing is lost.
  5. To keep receiving official updates automatically, leave Google Play's auto-update toggle on for the official app.

Switching back and forth between the modded APK and the official client is safe; Spotify's servers treat both as legitimate devices on the same account.

Have the file? Install in 3 minutes.
